haiku

blackbird cloudstarlings rise

like smoke in a cold city

cat claws the window

branches, skeletal stiff,

grow lithe, buds sprout overnight

wind, storm, lightning, hail

two chinese bakers

sit in bright, spring sun, eyes closed,

dream of sparkling streams
